First, the classification of bearings

Bearings are divided into two categories: rolling bearings and plain bearings. Here we only talk about rolling bearings, because sliding bearings are rare, and almost all are common rolling bearings. Rolling bearings are divided into ball bearings and roller bearings (that is, the rolling element is the ball or the ball bearing, the rolling element is the roller bearing for the roller), and the direction of its force can be divided into two types: centripetal and thrust bearing. . The centripetal force is the radial force, while the thrust is the axial force. From its accuracy level, it can be divided into P0, P6, P5, P4 and P2. The ordering is P0 with the lowest precision and P2 with the highest precision. From its material can be divided into ordinary bearing steel, high temperature resistant, antimagnetic, stainless, carburized and so on. In addition, its size can be divided into miniature, small, medium and large, extra large and major. In short, there are many types of bearings, and naturally there are thousands of types and models.

Second, the bearing production and processing flow

Each set of bearings goes through dozens of processes from raw materials to finished products. It seems very simple, but the actual is very complicated. The bearing consists of an outer ring, an inner ring, a cage and a rolling element (steel ball or roller). The parts of the bearing are subjected to blanking-forging blank-annealing-turning-soft grinding-quenching-primary grinding-tempering-fine grinding-finishing-closing-assembly-typing-cleaning-rust-proof packaging. The grinding process must be completed by multiple machine tools. Plane, inner diameter, outer diameter, raceway, ribs, etc. are quite complicated. Precision tolerances are typically controlled within a few thousandths of a millimeter.

In addition, some high-precision bearings are subjected to strong heat and strong cold treatment, and non-destructive testing to ensure that the finished product is used in various environments without deformation and wear resistance.
