What is the difference between deep groove ball bearings and four point contact ball bearings?

Deep groove ball bearings are the most representative rolling bearings and are widely used. Suitable for high speeds and even very high speeds, it is extremely durable and requires no maintenance. The bearing has small friction coefficient, high limit rotation speed, simple structure, low manufacturing cost and easy to achieve high manufacturing precision. Dimensional range and form are varied, and it is used in precision instruments, low noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles and general machinery. It is the most widely used type of bearing in the machinery industry. It is mainly subjected to radial loads and can also withstand a certain amount of axial load.

The technicians of Yiyang Longma Bearing Co., Ltd. introduced that the axial load carrying capacity is increased when a larger radial clearance is selected, and the contact angle is zero when subjected to pure radial force. When there is an axial force, the contact angle is greater than zero. Generally, a stamped wave cage is used, a solid cage is used, and a nylon frame is sometimes used.

After the deep groove ball bearing is mounted on the shaft, the axial displacement of the shaft or the casing can be restricted within the axial clearance of the bearing, so that the axial positioning can be performed in both directions. In addition, this type of bearing also has a certain ability to adjust the core. When it is inclined 2'~10' with respect to the hole of the housing, it can still work normally, but it has certain influence on the bearing life. Deep groove ball bearing cages are mostly steel plated wave cages, and large bearings are mostly made of metal body cages.

Deep groove ball bearings are the most commonly used rolling bearings. Its structure is simple and easy to use. It is mainly used to bear radial load, but when it increases the radial clearance of the bearing, it has certain angular contact ball bearing performance and can withstand combined radial and axial loads. It can also be used to withstand pure axial loads when the rotational speed is high and thrust ball bearings are not suitable. Compared with other types of bearings of the same size as deep groove ball bearings, these bearings have a small coefficient of friction and a high limit speed. However, it is not resistant to impact and is not suitable for heavy loads.

The four-point contact ball bearing is a separable structure, and a single bearing can replace the angular contact ball bearing of the front combination or the back combination.

It can withstand radial load and bidirectional axial load and can limit the axial displacement in two directions, but it has less axial space than the current double row angular contact ball bearings.

Compared with deep groove ball bearings, four-point contact ball bearings have smaller axial clearance and higher limit speed when the radial clearance is the same.

Four-point contact ball bearings are suitable for axial and radial combined loads that are subject to pure axial loads or axial loads. Due to the double inner ring (or outer ring), the number of balls is increased and the bearing capacity is large.

Under normal working conditions, when the bearing is subjected to axial load in any direction, a contact angle can be formed, and the steel ball is in contact with the inner and outer races to avoid large sliding friction in the contact area. Therefore, the bearing should not be subjected to radial force and load.
